We believe that Fractional RF Micro needling has been a terrific addition to our clinic. In our experience, RF micro needling is one of the best quick downtime treatments for acne scars and the textural improvement of skin. Micro needling has long been an effective treatment option for skin rejuvenation. Adding RF to the mix makes treatment effective for a wider range of concerns, like acne scarring, wrinkles, various skin irregularities, large pores, general rejuvenation, and stretch marks.

RF micro needling fills the niche for those needing a more aggressive treatment without the downtime of an ablative laser. TCA peels, trichloroacetic acid peels, are medium strength chemical peels that rejuvenate and repair your skin. They improve skin discoloration, reduce fine lines, and even out skin texture. They also cause your skin to physically peel, so they will require around a week of downtime. However, the results are usually well worth the wait!

 

Alpha Beta Acid Treatment 30 minutes      $100.00

The Alpha Beta exfoliation treatment is a full spectrum peel because it combines an application of Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid) followed with an application of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (Glycolic Acid). Research shows that applying Salicylic Acid before applying Glycolic Acid will cause the Glycolic Acid to penetrate the skin more deeply - resulting in a totally unique and highly superior facial peel.

Glycolic acid works as an exfoliant. Because it’s highly acidic but is also highly soluble, it goes under the damaged areas of the skin and essentially “burns” off the top layer of skin. When washed off, it leaves behind smoother skin that is also more youthful looking.

The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance, developed by Obagi Medical, is a non-surgical peel which helps improve your skin’s tone and texture while smoothing the fine lines and wrinkles. The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is a superficial peel not to be confused with the traditional Obagi Blue Peel.

 

 

A chemical peel is a procedure used to improve skin's appearance. Chemical peels can reduce acne, wrinkles, fine lines, skin discolorations and sun damage. Chemicals are applied to the skin which essentially burn it, causing the top layers to peel away. You can't get a chemical peel without burning your skin. Chemical peels are available in a variety of strengths, ranging from light to deep. Since your skin is burned, it's important to care for it properly following a chemical peel.

Know that redness and irritation are expected after a chemical peel. Your skin is likely to appear dry and flaky as the top layers begin to peel away. This dryness and peeling generally lasts for a few days for light peels, and up to four weeks for deep peels.

Wash the skin, using a gentle cleanser. Choose a highly hydrating cleanser that is free of abrasive detergents. Your skin will be incredibly sensitive following the peel, so steer clear of harsh cleansers.

Use cool water to rinse the area. Do not use hot or even warm water. The heat will further irritate your burned skin.

Moisturize the skin. Use a rich moisturizer to deeply hydrate the burned area. Opt for one that is free of added dyes and fragrances to avoid irritating the area further.

Drink lots of water. Burned skin needs to be moisturized from the inside. Consume at least 80 ounces of water daily to nourish dehydrated skin.

Avoid sun exposure. After a chemical peel, the sun's damaging rays can seriously injure your skin. If you must be outside, use a high level SPF sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and large sunglasses.

Apply any prescription ointments as instructed. For medium and deep chemical peels, we often suggest topical ointments to aid your skin's recovery process. Use as directed.

Do not touch the treated area. While it's tempting, do not peel away flaking pieces of skin. This can seriously damage your skin and lead to permanent scarring.  Chemical Peels can burn the skin to the point of redness or darkening of the skin.  This is Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation.  This will fade over time or peel off.  This is normal and requires staying out of sun and applying liberal amounts of Aquaphor.
